Bio

Tom Curry is a graduate of fun and good times at StFX University in Antigonish Nova Scotia. With musical beginnings as a high school talent show star and eventually university music program delinquent, Tom's mix of energy, lyrical ability and overall good nature make him a proud product of Antigonish Nova Scotia.

Tom began performing publicly as a member of Batuka, a legendary but short lived jam-funk band, taking the stage at local Antigonish shows and the coveted Evolve Music and Awareness Festival. Other highlights included opening for The Trews, a well established and homegrown Canadian rock group.

Working towards a diploma in Jazz Studies, Tom formed "Smiling Politely" a grass roots inspired and good spirited group of local talent, indulging in the StFX music scene for what felt like a life time.(ok, perhaps two years)

Now, finished with university, Tom has moved into the solo genre, releasing his debut album "Smiling Politely" an owed to his university days. With 11 tracks, the album balances between full rock and easy listening acoustic solos.
